Infinity Pool

The original screenplay, written by Cronenberg, follows James Foster, an uninspired writer and his wife, Em, on their all-inclusive vacation on the picturesque island of Li Tolqa. Befriended by the glamorous Gabi and Alban, the couples enjoy a forbidden picnic in the off limits Li Tolqan countryside that takes a sinister turn: the accidental fatality of a farmer leads to a death sentence for James. James can escape the verdict of local justice, but the uncanny mechanism that will ensure his survival also reveals a perverse subculture of hedonistic tourism, reckless violence and surreal horrors.
