Synopsis

In the Iranian town of Delbaran, the sounds of war are just beyond the majestic mountainous Afghanistan border. Khan’s isolated service station sees a colorful mix of truck drivers, merchants, opium smokers and illegal aliens. Fourteen-year-old Afghan refugee Kaim helps out at the service station but must brave the frustration and disappointment of a boy forced to live in the harsh adult world. But Kaim sheds no tears. All the more reason that his rare laughter is so special.
