A gritty crime thriller.
INDIEWIRE
As the Sundance Festival draws nearer details continue to emerge about some of the participating films. One particularly fascinating entry is Carlos Moreno’s Columbian crime drama Dog Eat Dog.
TWITCH
The first Columbian drama to premiere at Sundance ever, Dog Eat Dog is an artistically brilliant film portraying the sadistic irony of the drug underworld in Columbia.
SPOUT
Director Carlos Moreno captures the look and gritty feel of his home country without exploiting the usual clichés. This atmospheric romp is ugly and bloody, and that’s a good thing here.
EINSIDERS
A darkly humorous portrait of crime, witchcraft and poverty
GUARDIAN
Part thriller and a whole lot of action film, with sparks of very black humor, Dog Eat Dog is hugely entertaining
FILM SOCIETY OF LINCOLN CENTRE
A derivative ganster film…captures the look and gritty feel without the usual clichés…impactiful and entertaining
EINSIDERS
